Description

A lovely Brougham type horse-drawn carriage was designed in 1839, this particular example was built in 1860 by Frederick Sanderson of Dublin.

The carriage was named after the politician and jurist Lord Brougham, who had this type of carriage built to his specification by the London coachbuilder, Robinson & Cook, in 1838. His vision was a city carriage that could travel locally, fit through narrow streets, seat between 2 to 4 people, and be pulled by one horse.

It is in reasonable condition and is upholstered. Viewing is recommended.
